Audi S6是部兼具跑車精進性能、房車舒適及外觀流線優雅的高級車款，移植自Audi集團旗下的義大利跑車Lamborghini Gallardo引擎技術，再加上Audi傲人的FSI燃油缸內直噴科技，讓這顆5.2升V型10缸FSI動力心臟擁有高達435匹的驚人馬力，在6800 rpm引擎轉速時即擁有435匹強勁馬力、而在3000rpm 至4000 rpm之間就可達到55kgm的峰值扭力。0~100km/h加速僅需5.2秒。在Le mans賽事中蟬聯四度冠軍的R8，就是擁有同樣的FSI燃油缸內直噴汽油引擎。
