傳言：Spyker D12將採用美國的大馬力引擎

這顯然是個好消息，Spyker將有可能在他們的C12 Zagato和D12 SUV車款上換掉VW 6.0升W12引擎，並在美國本土尋找引擎製造商來獲取大馬力的引擎。

其中最重要的一個原因就是財務方面的考量，大家都知道現在歐元升值，美元比較疲軟，如果在美國生產製造將可以獲得比較好的成本優勢，而另一個原因就是VW已經準備要停止W12的生產了。因此我們猜想，如果是用美國的引擎，那可不要使用General Motors Corvette，因為那才500匹馬力而已，要是能採用Dodge Viper的V10引擎，那就是600匹馬力吔！不過這要由他們來決才行。
